Details
- Carved and hand finished from solid blocks of Italian or Spanish marble or vein-cut Italian travertine
- Base is carved and hollowed out to 1¾" thick to lessen the stone's weight
- Travertine is honed and sealed for a satin finish with visible pitting that reveals the beauty and character of each piece
- Marble is honed and sealed for a satin finish that highlights the stone's bold vein patterning and striking contrasts
- Inherent variations in the stone's color, texture and veining, as well as variance resulting from the hand finishing process, are to be expected and celebrated. Each is unique and no two are exactly alike.
- Travertine has natural pitting of varied location that adds to the stone's character. Larger pits are filled; smaller holes are left unfilled.
- As a natural material, all stone is porous and can be nicked, stained or scratched; avoid placing sharp or heavy objects on surface
