Stonyhurst College was founded in 1593 and remains one of the UK's most prestigious boarding schools. An adaptation of the Ampleforth collection, Stonyhurst similarly transforms Timothy Oulton's travel-inspired trunks into functional furniture. While preserving all the hallmarks of traditional craftsmanship in its construction and detailing, the collection experiments with a range of innovative finishes, including the celebrated Spitfire finish. Unlike the Ampleforth, the Stonyhurst does not include a lift-up lid. All leather finishes plus the Shiny and Black Steel options and Oxidized Solid Brass all come with wooden banding. Both the Spitfire and Aero finishes come without any banding.
